The Prophecy 😈

Biography

The Heart Redemption project came in 2015 from an idea of Gennaro Cardella (drums) and Francesco Iannotta (guitars) who, after having already played together in some local bands, decided to join forces and record an independent Ep – meant for online publishing only – which would collect some of their recent personal experiences.

In the summer of 2017 The Prophecy, composed remotely between Venice and Caserta, and recorded at the Flex Recording studios with the collaboration of Atena Fedele (female voice), Marco Andreotti (male voice), Roberto Andreotti (bass) e Luigi Tortolano (rhythm guitar), was released. The Ep’s five tracks aim at expressing a path which goes from an exterior denounce of the enduring conditions of southern Italy (Chaos Theory) to a more and more intimate reflection on personal experiences covering themes like addiction and betrayal (Tears of Bitch), unrequited love (Insomnia Inside), regret and resignation (Train of Make Believe), all the way down to the core disorders of a soul (The Prophecy).

After releasing The Prophecy, the two musicians decided to carry on the project, to make it an actual band, and to start working on the new album. However, the recurrent changes in formation, the lack of new musicians and last but not least a global pandemic, haven’t allowed Heart Redemption to release new material until 2021, with the publishing of Overdriven Memories, a two-tracks single (Red Rose; Confusion) featuring Daniele Zitiello (vocals) and Alex Sciascia (guitar). Heart Redemption – in spite of being in search of new band members – are currently working on a new fantasy/dystopian concept album which goes under the name of Survivors.
